World Music Day 2022: Can you imagine your life without music? Music has been acting as people's constant companions in their ups and downs. This year has been a shocking one for those who admire music as several musicians, including legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala and KK, died.
Now that everybody has been celebrating World Music Day 2022, let's remember the iconic singers who bid adieu to the world this year. These singers have left behind an irreplaceable void in the Indian music industry.

India's nightingale Lata Mangeshkar had an illustrious career spanning over seven decades. She made her first break in the 1948 film, 'Majboor', with the song 'Dil Mera Toda, Mujhe Kahin Ka Na Chhora'. Although Lata Mangeshkar died on February 6, she is still alive in the hearts of many.

Bappi Lahiri, who started his career as a composer with the Bengali film, 'Daadu' died due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Mumbai at the age of 69 on February 15.

On May 29, 2022, the whole nation was shocked after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by assailants in Jawaharke village of Punjab's Mansa district. He was killed a day after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab police. Although the singer died, his legacy is still alive.

Singer KK aka Krishnakumar Kunnath's soulful voice has been an intrinsic part of youth's life. His death was like losing the school and college days all over again. He died after performing on stage in Kolkata.
