Threads App Launches Amidst Controversy: Twitter Accuses Meta of Copyright Violation
Last year, Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, acquired the popular social media platform with great expectations of transforming the user experience. However, his actions on Twitter ended up frustrating users worldwide. Seizing this opportunity, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, introduced his own text-based platform called Threads, which quickly gained immense popularity, surpassing 300 million downloads within just 28 hours. As a result, Twitter has now escalated the situation by threatening legal action against Meta and its Threads platform, citing copyright infringement as the primary concern.

Twitter's Legal Ultimatum:
In a recent report by Semaphon, a news site, it was revealed that Twitter has issued a legal ultimatum against Meta's Threads platform. Twitter's attorney, Alex Spiro, sent a letter to Mark Zuckerberg, highlighting the copyright infringement claims and demanding resolution. The crux of the issue lies in the resemblance between the Threads interface and that of Twitter. Additionally, Twitter claims that Meta's "Thread" feature, which divides lengthy tweets into multiple segments, infringes upon their copyright. As of now, Meta has not responded to these allegations.
