The ceremony, marked by vibrant decorations and joyful family moments, transformed Antilia into a festive wonderland. The residence was adorned with colorful lights, flowers, and golden decorations, creating a bright and sparkling atmosphere that added to the special occasion's joy.
'Mosalu' is a significant ceremony in Gujarati culture, taking place a few days before the wedding. During this event, Nita Ambani's family, including her mother Purnima Dalal and sister Mamta Dalal, blessed the couple with gifts and good wishes, demonstrating the love and support from the groom's mother's side of the family. Anant's uncles and their families presented him and Radhika with 'Mameru,' traditional gifts such as clothes, jewellery, and sweets. Radhika's uncle also contributed sweets and gifts, enhancing the celebration.
The event was attended by Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, and their children—Akash, Shloka, Isha, and Anand Piramal—who shared in the couple's happiness. Radhika looked stunning in a beautifully embroidered lehenga, complemented by traditional jhumkas, maang-teeka, and a neckpiece.
The much-awaited wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant is set for July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. A highlight of the wedding plans includes a chaat stall from the renowned Kashi Chaat Bhandaar in Varanasi. Last month, Nita Ambani, founder and chairman of Reliance Foundation, visited Varanasi to seek blessings at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and personally invited the shop owner, Rakesh Keshari, after sampling various chaats at his establishment.
As part of the wedding celebrations, Mukesh and Nita Ambani organized a mass wedding for the underprivileged on July 2 at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar. Recently, the wedding invitation went viral, offering a glimpse into the meticulous preparations for this high-profile event.
The wedding festivities, adhering to traditional Hindu Vedic customs, will commence on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah. Guests are encouraged to embrace the occasion's spirit by dressing in traditional Indian attire. The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad, followed by Mangal Utsav, or the wedding reception, on Sunday, July 14. For this grand event, guests have been asked to dress in 'Indian chic.'
Earlier this year, the couple hosted a series of pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, which featured a star-studded guest list from around the globe, including business leaders, heads of state, and Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities.
Distinguished guests such as Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump attended the pre-wedding celebrations. The highlight of the festivities was an electrifying performance by pop sensation Rihanna, marking her debut performance in India. The three-day extravaganza also featured world-renowned illusionist David Blaine, who mesmerized guests with his incredible feats. Bollywood stars and family members joined in the sangeet performances, with a special appearance by actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, captivating the audience.
