In a surprise move that thrilled fans, Allu Arjun took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal a brand-new poster for his highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The poster, which features Allu Arjun's character, Pushpa Raj, standing boldly against a striking red backdrop, is accompanied by a powerful message: "Witness the rule in 100 days."
This exciting update was also shared by the film's production house, Mythri Movie Makers, on their social media channels. The caption on their post read, "100 Days to go for #Pushpa2TheRule. Get ready for an ICONIC box office experience. THE RULE IN CINEMAS on 6th DEC 2024."
Pushpa 2: The Rule, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, is set to bring back the original cast, with Allu Arjun reprising his role as Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The film follows the massive success of its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise, where Allu Arjun's performance earned him a National Film Award. Directed by Sukumar, the first part delved into the intense world of red sandalwood smuggling and the power struggles that ensued.
Initially scheduled for release in August 2024, the makers announced in June that the film's release had been rescheduled to December 6, 2024. In a statement, the production team explained the decision, citing the need to complete the remaining shoot and post-production work.
"Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated Indian films. Following the immense success of Pushpa: The Rise, our responsibility to deliver excellence has increased significantly. We have been tirelessly working to complete the movie and release it on time. However, due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work, we will not be releasing the film on August 15th, 2024. This decision is made in the best interests of the film, the audience, and all stakeholders. Our goal is to provide a memorable experience on the big screen without compromising quality," the makers said in their note.
The statement further expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response to the film's teasers and songs, promising audiences a cinematic experience to remember. "We extend our heartfelt thanks to the audiences and our partners worldwide for their unwavering support. The media and film industries have also been incredibly supportive. Pushpa 2: The Rule will now be released worldwide on December 6th, 2024. We are committed to giving you the best, and you will see only the best in cinemas," the note concluded.
With just 100 days left until its release, excitement for Pushpa 2: The Rule is reaching new heights, promising fans an iconic cinematic experience this December.
