Kangana Ranaut Hopes to Direct Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir Khan; Regrets Not Directing Late Icon Irrfan Khan

Kangana Ranaut revealed a cinematic dream that left the audience intrigued at the trailer launch of her upcoming film 'Emergency'. Known for her bold and unfiltered opinions, Kangana expressed a desire that could potentially change the landscape of Indian cinema. She declared that she would love to direct the three biggest superstars of Bollywood—Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan—in a single film.

Kangana Ranaut Wants To Direct Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan

In her characteristic candid style, Kangana elaborated on this wish, stating, "I would love to direct and produce a film with all three Khans. They are exceptionally talented, and I believe their artistic sides have yet to be fully explored. They are not just megastars who generate immense revenue for the industry; they also possess a depth that has been showcased only in a handful of films. I want to bring out that side of them—where they not only act but do something that is deeply significant for society."

As she spoke, it was clear that Kangana's vision for this hypothetical film was not just about capitalizing on their star power but about creating something meaningful. She emphasized, "We should be eternally grateful to them for their contribution to the industry. They engage with the masses who crave entertainment, but I believe they also have the potential to deliver much more—something profound and impactful."

Kangana Ranaut Regrets Not Able To Work With Irrfan Khan

While Kangana's admiration for the Khans was evident, she also took a moment to express a personal regret. With a touch of nostalgia, she mentioned the late Irrfan Khan, an actor she greatly admired. "One actor I deeply regret not being able to direct is Irrfan Khan. He was one of my favourite Khans, and his loss is a void that can never be filled. I will always miss him," she shared.

Kangana didn't stop there. She also spoke passionately about Salman Khan, addressing the common misconceptions about him within the industry. "Salman Khan is the most loved star in the country. His fan following is unparalleled. Unfortunately, those who compete with him, and even some within the film industry, misunderstand him. But that’s because they are envious of his success and wish to be in his position," she explained, defending the superstar with conviction.

About Emergency

Kangana gave a glimpse into the intense narrative that the film promises. Directed by Kangana herself, the period political drama will see her portray the iconic role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is set during the controversial Emergency period in India and explores the political and emotional turmoil that defined that era. The trailer offers a gripping portrayal of nationwide curfews, press suppression, and the closure of offices that marked the emergency, making it clear that the film is set to be a powerful historical drama.

Emergency boasts an ensemble cast, including veteran actors like Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. The film, which Kangana has not only directed but also co-produced, is slated for release on September 6, and it promises to be a cinematic experience that will leave a lasting impact.
