Bollywood A-listers Under the ED Radar: Kapil Sharma, Huma Qureshi, and Hina Khan Face Summons in Mahadev Betting App Case

In a significant development following actor Ranbir Kapoor's summons for questioning, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has continued its probe into the Mahadev online betting app case by issuing summonses to several other prominent Bollywood figures. Among those summoned are actors Shraddha Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Hina Khan, and comedian Kapil Sharma. The investigation centers around allegations of promoting the Mahadev online book betting app.

Celebrities Summoned

The Enforcement Directorate, a federal law enforcement agency in India responsible for enforcing economic laws and fighting financial crimes, has widened its investigation net. Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the agency has now summoned Shraddha Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Hina Khan, and Kapil Sharma. These well-known figures in the Indian entertainment industry have been called in for questioning regarding their involvement in promoting the controversial Mahadev online betting app.

Official Confirmation and Ongoing Secrecy

A senior official from the Enforcement Directorate has confirmed these developments, but as of now, further details regarding the case remain undisclosed. This secrecy is common in ongoing investigations, where agencies often refrain from revealing sensitive information to protect the integrity of the probe.

Ranbir Kapoor's Initial Summons

This latest round of summonses follows Ranbir Kapoor's initial summons earlier in the week. The Bollywood actor was called in for questioning by the ED in connection with his alleged links to the Mahadev online betting app.

Sources close to the investigation have hinted at a broader scope, suggesting that approximately 14 to 15 other celebrities and actors are also under the ED's scrutiny in connection with the Mahadev online betting app case. These individuals are expected to be summoned in due course as the investigation unfolds.

The primary focus of the investigation appears to be on Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, the main promoters of the Mahadev online betting app. Both individuals are reportedly from Bhilai in Chhattisgarh and are wanted in connection with the money laundering probe. The ED's pursuit of these key players is indicative of its determination to get to the bottom of the case and uncover any financial irregularities.
