Bigg Boss OTT 3' Responds to Shiv Sena MLA's Police Complaint with Strong Denial of Inappropriate Content

The reality show Bigg Boss OTT 3 has stirred up controversy once again, following allegations of inappropriate content broadcasted during its recent episode. Shiv Sena MLA Manisha Kayande has approached the Mumbai Police, demanding legal action against the show for airing what she claims to be lewd and offensive material.

Jio Cinema Issued Statement

On Monday, Kayande, who also serves as Secretary and Spokesperson of Shiv Sena, met with Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar. She submitted a formal complaint regarding the episode aired on July 18, which she believes violates social values and crosses the boundaries of family relationships.

In her complaint, Kayande criticized the episode for its depiction of contestants engaging in behavior she described as "trampling social values." According to a press release, Kayande has urged the police to investigate the matter and take appropriate legal action.

In response to the allegations, JioCinema, the platform streaming Bigg Boss OTT 3, issued a statement refuting the claims. The platform contends that the clip in question was doctored and never aired. JioCinema emphasized its commitment to maintaining high programming standards and assured that the content on their platform adheres to strict guidelines.

"JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake," the statement read. The platform further stated that its teams are working to identify the origins of the doctored clip and would take action against those responsible for creating and distributing it.

Kayande has called for an immediate halt to the show and demanded that action be taken against its producers and the CEO of the broadcasting company. She has requested the Mumbai Police Commissioner to investigate whether the episode has gone viral on social media and to enforce legal measures against those involved.

"Bigg Boss OTT 3 is currently in production, and the content being depicted is extremely vulgar. We have requested Mumbai Police to take action and have submitted a letter detailing our concerns," Kayande told ANI.

Bigg Boss OTT 3 premiered on June 21 and continues to capture attention, both for its content and the controversies surrounding it.
