Anupam Kher's Andheri Office Robbed: Mumbai Police Investigates
Bollywood actor Anupam Kher became a victim of theft. On Wednesday night, veteran actor Anupam Kher's office, situated on Veera Desai Road in Andheri West, was robbed. Reports from Mumbai police indicate that the thieves successfully broke into the premises, making away with cash and goods amounting to approximately Rs. 4.15 lakh.
The Amboli Police Station promptly registered a case against an unidentified individual under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including section 454 for lurking house-trespass or house-breaking in order to commit an offense, section 457 for night-time house-breaking, and section 380 for theft in a dwelling house. Currently, a thorough investigation is underway to apprehend the culprits responsible for this audacious crime.
Anupam Kher himself shared a video documenting the aftermath of the incident, showcasing the broken locks and damage done to his office's door in Andheri. Expressing his concern, he stated, "This video was made by my office people before the police came!" The gravity of the situation was evident, with visible damage to the hatch bolt on the door.
Highlighting the steps taken, Kher mentioned that a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged, and he expressed confidence in the police's assurance of swift action. "Our office has got an FIR done. And police have assured thieves will be caught very soon," he affirmed.
Crucial CCTV footage obtained from the scene revealed the perpetrators fleeing in an auto-rickshaw, carrying the stolen items. This crucial evidence is expected to play a pivotal role in identifying and bringing the culprits to justice.
On the professional front, despite this setback, Anupam Kher continues to forge ahead with his acting career. His upcoming projects include "Tanvi The Great," which he announced earlier this year on his birthday, March 7. Additionally, he is involved in films such as "The Signature," "Emergency," "Vijay 69," and "The Curse of Damyaan," showcasing his unwavering dedication to his craft amidst personal challenges.
