Vijay Deverakonda, Puri Jagannadh's 'Jana Gana Mana' shelved? [Details Inside]
'Jana Gana Mana' shelved: Following the popularity of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 2017 Telugu movie 'Arjun Reddy', actor Vijay Devarakonda became an overnight phenomenon.
After a long wait, Vijay made his Hindi film debut with Puri Jagannadh's 'Liger', which was released last month. Since then, his admirers have been impatiently awaiting his Bollywood debut.
Interestingly, Vijay declared 'Liger' a hit, months before the movie was released, as he was quite sure about its performance.
He also signed 'Jana Gana Mana', another movie directed by Puri Jagannadh. The actor shared the project's title poster with fans in March of this year to announce it. It was slated to release in theatres on August 3, 2023.
While the actor-director pairing's reunion was anticipated by fans, recent reports claim that the movie has been shelved.
Yes, if reports are to be believed, then 'Jana Gana Mana' is no more in the works as of now. However, nothing has been confirmed by any of them.
Meanwhile, ‘Liger’ starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday was released in theaters on August 25. The film was expected to have a great opening, however, tables turned following the film’s release. The movie underperformed at the box office and ended up being a total bust. The film was presented by Puri Connects and Dharma Productions jointly.
