Valentines Special: Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol's love saga 'DDLJ' to run in theaters
'DDLJ' in theaters: "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, would receive a Pan-India release throughout India, according to Yash Raj Films.
Vice President of YRF's Distribution, Rohan Malhotra, stated, "Since its historical premiere, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has come to represent romanticism for India and Indians. Throughout the year, we receive several requests from the audience and fans for a wider release of the movie so they may continue to see it in theatres with their friends and loved ones. We are fulfilling their request this year on Valentine's Day. Starting on February 10 and running for just one week, DDLJ will be screened all over India!"
DDLJ is scheduled to be released in 37 Indian cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Lucknow, Noida, Dehradun, Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Chennai, Vellore, and Trivandrum.
The longest-running film in Indian cinema history, "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge," which has been playing at Mumbai's Maratha Mandir theatre since 1995, continues to be popular with audiences. One of the largest IPs to come out of the Indian film industry is this one. Throughout the centuries, "DDLJ" has influenced Indian and Indian pop culture.
In theatres this Valentine's Day week, viewers can now see SRK in both Raj and Pathaan roles.
According to Rohan, "YRF and SRK are linked with creating Indian cinema's biggest blockbusters as well as working together on movies that have reshaped the Indian film business and had a long-lasting cultural influence."
It is a remarkable coincidence, he continued, that DDLJ was released by YRF during its 25th-year celebrations and that 25 years later, "Pathaan" has grown to become the highest-grossing Hindi movie globally.
'DDLJ' and 'Pathaan' will be shown on the big screen simultaneously at this time, and we are happy to provide the audience the chance to witness both of these films. YRF has had the good fortune to house some of India's most popular film franchises, including DDLJ and Pathaan from YRF's Spy Universe. We hope that audiences will have a fantastic time seeing both of these movies.
