Valentine special; DDLJ, the classic rom-com that will take you to the good old days of love
Valentine's week is just ahead of us and we can't keep calm for the love birds to see diving into the week of infatuation and bonding. Everyone around the corner has a special way to conduct love and make someone special. Binging a movie together is one of the most common way of spending some cozy quality time with your partner.

The storyline
“Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,” also known as DDLJ is one of the most iconic movies of the late 90’s made in Bollywood. The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer movie, written and directed by Aditya Chopra, and produced by Yash Chopra were released on October 20, 1995. The story revolves around two main character - Raj Malhotra and Simran Singh, the two Indian residents of London who falls in love during their Europe tour. The musical romantic movie also reflects the Indian household beliefs and the extension of love as infinite.

Other important actors starring in the movie are Amrish Puri as Simran’s father, Farida Jalal as her mother, and Anupam Kher as Raj’s father. Karan Johar, Mandira Bedi, and Pooja Ruparel were some others too.
The storyline is full of love, passion, values and some super hit songs that made the movie one of the longest-running Hindi movies in the history of the Bollywood industry.“When you expect to love the least, it is when love comes to you”, the couple met in their Europe tour proves the same. In the storyline, Simran from a strict Indian family is set to get married to a boy in India by her father whom she didn’t love.
Meanwhile, Raj’s father being a sweet liberal initiates raj to go and fetch his lover from India. The drama DDLJ brought it to the Indian screens at its climax, ‘fighting for the love’ proves the innate urge of falling in true love. With Raj’s true dedication towards Simran, her father let Simran move with Raj.A happy ending indeed!
