'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah': Monika Bhadoriya makes SHOCKING statement about popular show
The highly popular television sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been widely acclaimed as one of the best shows. Even during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, it managed to entertain viewers and bring joy for over a decade. However, recent developments have cast a shadow over its reputation. Monika Bhadoriya, known for her role as Bawri in the show, has once again shed light on the unpleasant work environment on the show sets.
Monika recently revealed that the personnel associated with TMKOC had delayed payment of her debt, amounting to 4-5 lakh rupees, for over a year. To add to her distress, she was coerced into signing a bond that prevented her from speaking to the media or expressing her grievances, despite her desire to do so. According to the actress, when she reached out to the production boss, Sohail Romani, regarding the settlement, he responded by yelling at her.
In the latest round of allegations against the producers, Monika Bhadoriya has now disclosed the detrimental impact of being forced to participate in a weight loss program with an unrealistic deadline on her health. She narrated an incident where she received a call from Sohil Ramani, the project head of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, who expressed his desire to speak with her. However, upon reaching the office, she found someone else from the accounts department who commented on her weight gain, implying that she appeared pregnant despite being unmarried.
When Sohil eventually arrived, he demanded that Monika lose weight within 20 days. Realizing the impossibility of such a quick weight loss, Monika requested financial assistance to hire professionals. However, Sohil refused, stating that it wasn't his responsibility to oversee her weight loss. Consequently, Monika attempted to lose weight within the unrealistic deadline but fell ill in the process. The stress and strain caused her to suffer from vitamin deficiencies and deteriorating health, leading to hospitalization. She underwent a painful phase of daily injections for recovery, expressing her anguish at the intensity of the process.
Monika Bhadoriya also shared how she compelled herself to continue working on the show despite her suffering, as she did not want to quit. She revealed that the ordeal she went through resulted in multiple episodes of fainting while performing, requiring subsequent hospitalization and treatment. Furthermore, she disclosed that anyone who left TMKOC experienced significant trauma and required therapy for recovery. Sohil, known for using derogatory language such as "tumhara baap" and "tumhari maa", exemplified a lack of respect towards female actors. According to Monika, it is essential for every actor to find healing in order to escape this negative environment.
