However, Karan did mention that he himself had made several calls to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and emphasized that he is not someone who frequently initiates phone conversations. Karan expressed his appreciation for the calls he received from various individuals in response to this film.
During an interview with Mid-Day, Karan Johar shared the source of inspiration for the movie, which was none other than the dynamic Bollywood couple – Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. He revealed their close bond and the memorable dinners and lunches they had enjoyed together. Karan found their relationship to be truly inspirational, highlighting that people from diverse backgrounds and societies are capable of experiencing profound love for one another.
