Suchitra Pillai reacts on 'snatching' Preity Zinta's then boyfriend Lars Kjeldsen: "I Didn't Come Between Them"
Suchita Pillai is a very common name in the world of television and Indian entertainment as she has served her miraculous parts in numerous daily soaps, movies and now, the actress cum model is basking her high rides with the success of her recently released drama series 'The Broken News 2'. During a recently held interview, Suchitra could be seen talking about her long-lost controversy wherein she was labeled as the 'boyfriend snatcher' of Preity Zinta. It all started when Pillai's now husband, Lars Kjeldsen started dating the actress after breaking up with the Koi Mil Gaya actress. However, the media targeted and labeled her as a snatcher, and she has recently given her reaction to the same.
According to the Broken News fame, her husband, Lars Kjeldsen has long dated Preity Zinta before coming into a relationship. It was the bygone days of the past, but the media has however targetted her unabashedly during the days, as she revealed. She further opened her personal equation with actress Preity Zinta and said, "No, that's another story from somebody else. Preity and I were never friends, we were acquaintances because we had a common friend. But, yes, Lars Kjeldsen did date Preity Zinta for some time but that was the breakup he had before he met me and only this part is true. I didn't come between them, they split up for a different reason."
However, soon after Suchitra started seeing Lars, she was accused with the title 'boyfriend snatcher' by a particular section of the media. Recalling those days of extreme highs and lows, she called it as "The Big New Happened." As she continued with with her statement, she adds on saying, "The big news that happened, which was a big misunderstanding, it was not because of me. It happened at the time I came back from England, I was called a 'boyfriend snatcher' on the cover of several magazines. The headline read, 'Suchitra Pillai is a boyfriend snatcher.' It was because I started dating Andrew Coyne, who had started Star Television in India. This was the relationship in question, but it was not because of me that Andrew and his partner and model Achala Sachdev fell apart. It is water under the bridge after many years and Achala and I have a laugh about it."
Well with such a heated up revelation, she must have cleared the cluster of doubts and all the false labelings with which she was bombarded earlier.
Meanwhile, Pillai has had a beautiful career in television and Bollywood. She is mostly remembered for her feisty role in Farhan Akhtar's directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai, where she played the role of Saif Ali Khan's girlfriend. Apart from that, she also got featured in numerous other projects like Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II, Page 3, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, and Fashion.
