Oh No! Rajpal Yadav’s Property Seized in Multi-Crore Loan Default Scandal

Bollywood actor and filmmaker Rajpal Yadav is currently facing significant financial difficulties as his assets, valued in crores, have been seized by the Central Bank of India. The move is connected to his 2012 film, Ata Pata Laapata, for which Yadav secured a substantial loan.

Rajpal Yadav, who made his directorial debut with Ata Pata Laapata, had borrowed ₹5 crores from the Bandra branch of the Central Bank of India, Mumbai, to finance the film. His wife, Radha Yadav, was the producer of the project. Unfortunately, due to an inability to repay the loan, the bank has taken severe measures to recover the outstanding amount. The bank's seizure encompasses property owned by Yadav in Seth Enclave, Shahjahanpur, which is also valued in crores.

According to reports, officials from the Central Bank of India arrived in Shahjahanpur two days ago to enforce the seizure. On Sunday, they placed a banner on Yadav’s property, publicly declaring it as the bank's asset and prohibiting any further transactions. The official seizure of the property was carried out on Monday morning by the bank's representatives.

Rajpal Yadav made his Bollywood debut with the film Dil Kya Kare in 1999, but it was his role in Jungle in 2000 that brought him widespread recognition. His foray into directing with Ata Pata Laapata in 2012 was initially met with optimism, but the subsequent financial troubles have overshadowed this achievement.

This current issue is not the first legal trouble Yadav has encountered. In 2018, he spent three months in jail due to a legal dispute with a Delhi-based company, Murli Projects. The company had filed a civil suit against Yadav's company, Shri Naurang Godavari Entertainment, related to a loan taken out in 2010.
