Netflix to Release Documentary on Renowned Filmmaker SS Rajamouli
A highly anticipated documentary chronicling the life and works of acclaimed film director SS Rajamouli is set to be released. Known for his groundbreaking visual effects and grand storytelling, Rajamouli has redefined Indian cinema with masterpieces like "Baahubali" and "RRR," the latter of which earned him an Oscar.
Netflix broke the news on its Instagram account, delighting fans with the announcement and the release date of the documentary. The streaming giant's post read:
"One man. Numerous blockbusters. Endless ambition. What did it take for this legendary filmmaker to reach his peak? Modern Masters: S.S. Rajamouli, coming on 2 August, only on Netflix!"
Scheduled to premiere on August 2, the documentary promises to provide an in-depth look at Rajamouli's career and influence on cinema, both in India and internationally. Presented by Anupama Chopra, the film features insights from global luminaries such as James Cameron, Joe Russo, and Karan Johar. Additionally, it includes commentary from Rajamouli's close friends and colleagues, including Prabhas, Jr NTR, Rana Daggubati, and Ram Charan.
Produced in collaboration with Applause Entertainment and Film Companion Studios, the documentary combines interviews and behind-the-scenes footage to explore Rajamouli's creative process and artistic journey.
