Janhvi Kapoor's Terrifying Health Scare: What Really Happened?
A few days ago, Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor was hospitalized due to severe food poisoning. According to a report, she was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital in South Mumbai on Thursday and has since been discharged. Her father, Boney Kapoor, confirmed that she is now much better.
Janhvi Kapoor's film 'Ulajh' is ready for release. Recently, while promoting her upcoming film, Janhvi revealed in an interview that this was the first time she had to be hospitalized due to health issues. She had been feeling unwell for quite some time prior to her admission.
Media reports indicate that Janhvi returned to Mumbai from Chennai on Tuesday. She began to feel unwell on Wednesday, prompting her to stay home and reschedule her appointments. Speaking to a news portal, Janhvi said, "I went to Chennai for half a day, and I think I ate something strange at the airport. I don’t know what it was because initially, I thought I had a stomach bug causing the pain. But it wasn’t that, as my blood parameters were abnormal when they did all the tests. After my stomach improved, I still felt body aches, weakness, shivering, and trembling."
Janhvi described her hospital experience as quite terrifying. Numerous tests revealed that her liver enzymes were significantly elevated. The actress mentioned there were moments when she felt paralyzed and disabled. "You can imagine that I couldn’t even get up to go to the bathroom by myself. I couldn’t speak properly or sit up," she said. "In such a situation, I felt that my body needed rest, which I finally got after being admitted to the hospital."
Symptoms and Causes of Paralysis
Paralysis can cause difficulty in breathing, swallowing, or speaking. Symptoms may include numbness or tingling in the limbs, persistent or intermittent muscle weakness, and a sudden inability to move muscles. Conditions such as polio, cerebral palsy, Guillain-Barre syndrome, or certain types of muscular dystrophic syndromes can lead to paralysis. A stroke, which occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted, can damage that part of the brain and result in paralysis. In India, the most common cause of paralysis is a stroke.
Janhvi Kapoor's recent ordeal underscores the importance of addressing health issues promptly and thoroughly. Her experience serves as a reminder of the potential severity of foodborne illnesses and the critical need for medical attention in such circumstances.
