Popular composer Vijay Antony's daughter Meera Antony dies at the age of 16; attempts suicide

In a heart-wrenching incident that sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, Meera Antony, the 16-year-old daughter of multifaceted artist Vijay Antony, attempted suicide in the early morning of September 19. 

Reports say that she was battling depression and was found hanging at her family's residence in Alwarpet, Chennai, around 3 a.m. She was a student at a prestigious school in Chennai and had shown immense promise in her own right. The news of her sudden demise has left her family and friends shattered, casting a pall of grief over her loved ones.

Although, she was rushed to the hospital but the doctors declared her 'brought dead'. 

Vijay Antony, a revered composer, actor, producer, lyricist, editor, audio engineer, and director in the Tamil film industry, had been preoccupied with his upcoming film 'Raththam' and a recent successful concert in Chennai before this shocking incident occurred. He and his wife, Fathima Vijay Antony, jointly oversee their own production house. The couple is blessed with two daughters, Meera and Lara.
