Director Prashant Verma Unveils Release Date for Debut Superhero Film 'Hanuman'

Director Prashant Verma has recently announced the eagerly awaited release date for his much-anticipated debut superhero film, 'Hanuman.' After the disappointment of Prabhas' 'Adipurush,' fans are eagerly anticipating the release of this movie, which features Teja Sajja in the lead role. Verma took to Twitter on July 1st to unveil a captivating new poster for 'Hanuman' and reveal its official release date. Film enthusiasts can now mark their calendars for January 12th, as 'Hanuman' is set to grace the silver screen, coinciding with the festival of Makar Sankranti.

Initially slated for release on May 12th, 2023, 'Hanuman' had to be postponed due to ongoing work on shooting, visual effects (VFX), and computer-generated imagery (CGI). The director's intention is to ensure a superior output for the movie, thereby necessitating the delay. The film has now become a significant part of the prestigious Sankranti league, joining the ranks of other major releases such as Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Karm' and Ravi Teja's 'Eagle.' Mahesh Babu, in particular, has followed a tradition of releasing his films during the Sankranti festival for the past three years, consistently achieving blockbuster success at the box office.

Currently, three Telugu films are scheduled to release simultaneously during the Sankranti festival. However, since all three films are of considerable scale, it may pose a challenging task for theater owners to accommodate them all. Recognizing 'Hanuman' as his dream project, Prashant Verma expressed on Twitter, "I have dedicated two years of my life to this film, and I am prepared to invest an additional six months and resources to offer you the best.
