The Gujarat government has declared the film "The Kashmir Files" to be tax-free. The decision was made by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, according to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) in a tweet. In addition, audiences in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana would be able to watch the film without paying any taxes.
The story focuses on a real incident that occurred in Kashmir in 1990. The Kashmir Files is a film about Kashmiri Pandits in 1990. The incident, which drove the Kashmiri Pandits to flee Kashmir, has left a lasting impression on them.

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri directed the film, which was produced by Zee Studios. Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi play key roles in the film.
