'The Kashmir Files' scripts history, Day 8 box office collection nears 'Baahubali 2'
'The Kashmir Files' Box Office Collection: Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' has emerged as one of the most controversial films in recent times, but nothing is affecting its significance at the box office. The film is one of the most successful post-pandemic films so far.
Helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, 'The Kashmir Files', based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits from Jammu and Kashmir post militancy's rise in the valley, is performing amazingly at the box office.

'The Kashmir Files' has scripted history with its day 8 collection (Rs 19.15 crore) at the box office. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film is at par with Baahubali 2's day 8 collections (₹ 19.75 crores). He said that 'The Kashmir Files' box office collection on day 8 was higher than that of Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' (₹ 18.59 crore).
Taran Adarsh also revealed the overall box office collection of 'The Kashmir Files' since its release on March 11 stands at Rs 116.45 crore.

In the following tweet, Adarsh stated that 'The Kashmir Files' recorded its highest single-day total on Friday (March 18). He also disclosed that the film is being dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has accorded the 'Y' category of CRPF security cover to the director Vivek Agnihotri. As per sources, the MHA's decision came following the security threat assessment of Agnihotri by the Intelligence and other security agencies.

Under the 'Y' category, the director will get 8 CRPF personnel, including one or two commandos, besides police personnel.
