Suriya Sivakumar shares thankful note on receiving 68th National Film Awards for Soorarai Pottru
Suriya pens special note: Suriya Sivakumar is a name that needs no introduction since he made sure that everyone recognizes him for his outstanding work and incredible acting abilities. He has worked in the Tamil film industry since 1997 and is regarded as one of the best actors in all of Indian cinema.
In honor of his performance of Nedumaaran in Soorarai Pottru, the actor received the Best Actor National Award. He received the honour along with Ajay Devgn, another outstanding actor. On social media, the Tamil actor has a large fan base, and since Friday night, people have been wishing him well on the special moment. The performer received the National Award for Best Actor for Soorarai Pottru a day before his birthday.

It made Suriya extremely happy, and he shared a touching statement he had written in response to receiving the prize on Instagram. He thanked all the technicians and congratulated all the prize recipients in the message. He congratulated Ajay Devgn on the collective success and hailed Mani Ratnam, the filmmaker who gave him his big start.
In the meantime, excitement is rising for Suriya's next movie Vaadi Vaasal. Renowned director Vetrimaran is to helm, the project. Suriya announced that the much-anticipated movie's test shoot had started. Fans now hope that a first look from the movie with Suriya will be released on his birthday.
