Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani join hands for first time, announce 'Dunki'

Shah Rukh Khan in 'Dunki': Shah Rukh Khan aka King Khan is known for his out of the box acting, on the other hand Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani is known to connect the audience with his spectacular films. Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday has announced to join hands with Rajkumar Hirani for the upcoming movie titled 'Dunki'.

The announcement video of the film features Shah Rukh Khan asking Rajkumar Hirani for a film to which the director agrees and reveals the title of the film. The clip then switches to a visual of an airplane's shadow across a block of land while the word Dunki appears on the ground.

Nothing much about the film has been explained by the two in the video, however, from the title and small teaser it is believed that the story of the film will revolve around the illegal entry in foreign countries with the help of 'Donkey Passports'.

The film also stars Taapse Pannu alongside Shah Rukh Khan and will be released on 22 Dec 2023.

As per the reports, the first schedule of the film has already begun and the next schedule is currently being shot in Punjab. The film which is written by Rajkumar Hirani is being collectively presented by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films.
