Samrat Prithviraj box office collection: Akshay Kumar delivers second flop yet again
Samrat Prithviraj box office collection: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's period-drama 'Samrat Prithviraj' failed to leave an impact at the box office. The film marked Manushi Chhillar's debut in the Bollywood industry, however, it turned out to be a commercial disaster.
Made with an approximate budget of Rs 200 crore, 'Samrat Prithviraj' failed to mint huge money at the box office collection. It seems Akshay Kumar-starrer might wrap up its theatrical run this week itself.

As per trade analysts, Akshay Kumar's 'Samrat Prithviraj' witnessed an overall 25 percent occupancy on day 10, June 12, and reportedly managed to earn merely over Rs 3 crore in a single day.
Reportedly, the domestic box office collection of Akshay-starrer Samrat Prithviraj now stands at Rs 62.30 crore while it is expected to settle its lifetime business to Rs 65 crore approximately.

Meanwhile, the shows for the film in many circuits were cancelled and flushed out due to zero occupancy. The film was released on June 3 where it clashed with two films 'Major' and 'Vikram', starring Kamal Haasan, and Vijay Sethupathi.

Both Major and Vikram continued to earn well at the box office, however, Samrat Prithviraj was rejected by the moviegoers.
Notably, this is Akshay Kumar's second flop in a row after Bachchhan Paandey which collected Rs 49.98 crore in India ending its worldwide collection to Rs 68.61 crore.
