Salute! Lata Mangeshkar Donates Rs 1 Crore To Indian Soldiers

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has announced to donate Rs 1 crore to Indian Army in wake of recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir in which over 40 CRPF jawans were martyred.

According to the Hindustan Times reports, Lata Mangeshkar will hand over the donation of Rs 1 crore to the Indian Army on April 24, which is also her father Master Dinanath Mangeshkar’s death anniversary.

“Many people in the industry always help soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the nation. Even now, people from the industry are helping out. We have also announced something from our end,” Lata Mangeshkar told Maharashtra Times.

With the announcement, Lata joins Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan, among several others, who have also donated funds for the soldiers.

Besides Bollywood, many Pollywood stars like Ammy Virk, Ranjit Bawa, Diljit Dosanjh, Badshah and others too donated to the Indian Army.
