Rakulpreet Singh to play a 'condom tester' in Ronnie Screwala's next, 'Chhatriwali'

Rakul Preet Singh fans can celebrate since the actress is set to appear in a quirky social entertainer titled Chhatriwali. Rakul announced her next project on Saturday, and also unveiled her first look from the upcoming film.

The large pack of condom she was holding in front of her face drew everyone's attention in her first appearance in the film. It piqued fans' interest in her role in an upcoming film produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

The actress announced the project on Instagram by posting the first look at the film. In the picture, she's holding a large condom packet like a clapper board. A second image depicts her in a traditional Indian outfit.

'Chhatriwali' is a social family entertainer that narrates the tale of a female unemployed chemistry graduate in the small town of Karnal who becomes a condom tester out of desperation for work.

Tejas Deoskar, the film's director, says, "Our film is a social family entertainer that aims to de-stigmatize the use of condoms, and we are truly excited that the film has gone on floors."

Rakul Preet Singh about the film said, "It's a fascinating and unique subject, and I'm looking forward to embarking on my character's journey. It's important to highlight some issues in a lighthearted manner, and this has piqued my interest."

Reactions began to pour in as soon as Rakul shared the first look. "Looking good," Bhumi Pednekar wrote.. Fans were excited to see Rakul in a quirky role in the social entertainer, and many wished her the best of luck with the project. RSVP Films is financing the film, which is directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar.

Apart from Rakul, the movie also includes Sumeet Vyas, Satish Kaushik, Rajeev Tailang, Dolly Ahluwalia, and Riva Arora in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Rakulpreet Singh will appear in Doctor G, Attack, Mayday, and Thank God, in addition to Chhatriwali.
