PTC Punjabi Film Awards comes to an end with Ardaas Karaan being the best film of the year. Diljit Dosanjh and Gurpreet Ghuggi shares the best actor award for Shadaa and Ardaas Karaan and Sonam Bajwa received best actress award for the movie Ardab Mutiyaran at PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2020. Preeti Sapru was awarded with the lifetime achievement award at the event. Gippy Grewal and Sunanda Sharma graced the virtual sets through their amazing performances.

23: 45 - Here comes the awards by the critics and the award for the best actress critics is bagged by Roopi Gill for the Laiye Je Yaariyan.
The award for the best actor critics is handed over by Jaswinder Bhalla to Amrinder Gill while the award for the best film by the critics goes to Guddiyan Patole.
23: 40- Janjot Singh grabs the award for the best debut director award for his hit film 'Chal Mera Putt'.
Dev Kharoud becomes the PTC promising star of the year as Gippy Grewal hands over the award to him. On the other hand, Binnu Dhillon passes away the award for the filmi yaar of the year to the High End Yaariyan friends Ninja, Jassie Gill and Ranjit Bawa.
23: 10 - Anita Devgan grabs the award for the best supporting actress award for the film Jaddi Sardar by four time best actress award winner Sargun Mehta, while Pavan Raj Malhotra wins the best supporting actor award for the film Jhalle by Kartar Cheema.
23: 00 - Gippy Grewal's son Gurfateh Singh Grewal aka Shinda gets the trophy for the PTC Star Child Award for the film Ardaas Karaan by the very talented actress Upasana Singh.
PTC Network's President and Managing Director hands over the award for lifetime achievement award to the actress Preeti Sapru.
22: 30 - Sunanda Sharma sets the stage on fire with her performance. She croons her popular songs 'Sandal', 'Duji Vaar Pyar', 'Jaani Tera Naa' among many other songs. 
Meanwhile the award for the popular song of the year goes to Ammy Virk's song 'Wang Da Naap' starring himself and Sonam Bajwa.
V Rakx Music is honoured with the PTC Punjabi Film Awards for the category of best music director by Jazzy B for the film Guddiyan Patole.
22:20 - Mannat Noor wins the trophy for the song 'Gulabi Pani' from the film Muklawa for the best playback singer female category by the versatile singer Jasbir Jassi while Nachhatar Gill wins the best playback singer male for 'Ardaas Karaan' song 'Tere Rang Niyare' by Sukhshinder Shinda.
22: 10 - Sudesh Lehri takes the audience to a laughter ride with his family as they entertain the viewers from their home.
22:00 - One of the hit films of 2019 'Chal Mera Putt' starring Amrinder Gill and Simi Chahal in the lead along with the Pakistani comic actors bag the trophy for the best comic film category. The award is presented by Aparshakti Khurana.
Popular Punjabi actress Anita Devgan hands over the trophy of best performance in comic role to the comic star Jaswinder Bhalla for the film Band Vaaje.
21: 50 - Film Blackia wins the best action trophy by versatile Vindu Dara Singh. Meanwhile Rajat Bedi gives the award for the best performance in the negative role to Manav Vij for the film DSP Dev.
Gurnam Bhullar wins the award by songster Sunanda Sharma for the film 'Guddiyan Patole'.
21: 40 - Munda Faridkotia actress Sharan Kaur wins the trophy for the first time as the best debut female actress.

Ravi Kumar Sana wins the award for best cinematography for the film 'Jhalle' by the director Simerjit Singh.
21: 20 - Rupinder Inderjit bags the award for writing the story of 'Surkhi Bindi', which starrer Sargun Mehta and Gurnam Bhullar in the lead role.
Moving on to the next category of best screenplay, Gurjit Singh bags the award by Karamjit Anmol for the film High End Yaariyan.
21: 10 - Pali Bhupender hands over the award for best dialogue to the ace writer Rana Ranbir for the film 'Ardaas Karaan'.
21:00 - Rana Jung Bahadur presented the award and the award was bagged by Bharat S Raawat for the film 'Sikander 2'. Mukesh Rishi presented the award for the best background score to Amar Mohile for the film 'Blackia'.
Soon after the melodious performance by Meet Bros and Khushboo Grewal, Divya Dutta and Gurpreet Ghuggi started the award night as host.
The singers also dedicated a song to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput who recently died by suicide.
