Norway' real storyIt is based on a well-known incident from May 2011 involving Anurup and Sagarika Bhattacharya, an Indian couple who had moved to Norway with their two young daughters, Aishwarya (then 1), and Abhigyan (3). CWS compelled the parents to place their children in foster care, with the condition that they could not see them until they turned 18.It was claimed by the family that the incident took place because of cultural indifference citing the way they used to feed their kids, which Norway's Child Protection Agency had labeled as force-feeding. Custody disputes followed, with the Indian government getting involved.Once the circumstances changed, the Indian government stopped interfering with the custody. At that point, Bhattacharya succeeded on her own in bringing her kids back. Sagarika received a psychological evaluation in November 2012 and was deemed capable of raising her children.Now, Rani Mukherjee is about to portray Sagarika's difficult battle to get her children back ten years after it all began.
