Holi is just ahead us and we can already feel the burning enthusiasm among the Indian masses around the globe. People have already started coloring each other and began celebrating pre-holi. India being a diverse landmass and due to availibility of scattered group of sub communities, each festival is celebrated differently in every part of the country. MATHURA - The birthplace of Lord Krishna, Mathura in Braj is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh is one of the most famous place to celebrate Holi in the most grandest way possible. From morning Bhajan chants to sprouting gulaal in the famous Dwarkadheesh Temple, lanes filled with multicolored heads, Mathura is a true heaven for Holi enthusiasts.

VRINDAVAN - Holi in Lord Krishna's playland Vrindavan is yet another place for angelic amazement. The place witnesses one of the most unique celebration specially for the widows. Widows clad in white sarees coloring gulaal on each other is a scene of rarity. Filled with passion and true emotion people all around Vrindavan rejoices the colorful festival. BARSANA - Barsana of Uttar Pradesh is another place in the state where Holi is celebrated marvelously. The Lathmar Holi of Barsana is world famous. Womens beating the man with sticks and mens protecting themselves with shields is an age-old ritual belonging to mythology of Lord Krishna and Radha's romantic affair that are rejoices by the people in the sub-urbs of Barsana and Nandgaon.
