PTC DFFA 2022: PTC Network honours stalwarts of Punjabi digital film industry

PTC DFFA 2022: PTC Network is known for promoting Punjab, Punjabi, and Punjabiyat. As a part of its initiative, PTC Network organized PTC Box Office Digital Film Festival Awards 2022 in Chandigarh.

PTC Network honored the pioneer of Punjab's film industry. Veteran Punjabi actor Shavinder Mahal was honored with Lifetime Achievement Award while Mahabir Bhullar was honored with PTC Icon Award.

Besides, PTC Network honored more than 30 stalwarts of the digital film industry. The ceremony also witnessed the magnificent performance of the Nooran Sisters.

Meanwhile, the prominent personalities of Punjab, like Yograj Singh, Kartar Cheema, Aashish Duggal, Manav Shah, Kshitij Chaudhary, Sachin Ahuja, Gurmeet Singh, Taranvir Singh, Preet Harpal, Gagan Kokri, Tejwant Kittu, Kuljinder Sidhu, Pali Bhupinder, Raju Verma, among the others were present at the ceremony. On the other hand, Punjabi actor Satinder Satti added stars to the event by hosting the award ceremony.

PTC Digital Film Festival Awards 2022 began with the screening of several highly digital feature films, produced by the PTC Network. Punjabi actors Gurpreet Ghuggi and Dev Kharoud kicked off the event.

The premiere of PTC Network's thought-provoking full-length feature film Seeto Marjani took place on the first day. Four short digital films were also screened in addition to this.

Speaking at the PTC DFFA 2022, Rabindra Narayan, Managing Director & President of PTC Network, said: "We are proud to be a medium that provides opportunities to local film-making talent in Punjab. They no longer have to run to Mumbai to make a film or to be part of a feature film. We are doing what local governments have failed to do over the years. Finally, Punjabi artists find work and showcase their talent in Punjab."

Seeto Marjani garnered lot of praises and the film is now available to watch on the PTC Play app. The drama was written by Dr. Charan Das Sidhu, a well-known Punjabi playwright. Seeto Marjani, a Punjabi film set in a distant village, will be a historic film. The video shows a sensitive topic -- a woman's right to pick her partner.

Pankaj Berry, Nirmal Rishi, Gurinder Makna, Navdeep Bajwa, Aarzoo Jajoria, and Dhriti Goenka, among others, gave tremendous performances in the film and were present at the premiere on Friday. Gaurav Rana has directed the film.

Films like Mera Kuch Samaan, Jhanna De Paani, and Byaan were screened for the audience on March 26. All of these films are also available on the PTC Play app.

PTC Network held an award ceremony on March 26 to reward young and veteran artists who have made exceptional and international grade digital film content.

PTC Network is undoubtedly a pioneer in the Punjabi film industry. The festival aimed to highlight the value and potential of digital technologies and short films.
