Sidhu Moose Wala movie: Sidhu Moosewala's Life and Legacy to Feature in Upcoming Film
In a thrilling development for fans of Punjabi music, production house Matchbox Shots has secured the rights to author Jupinderjit Singh's book about the life and tragic murder of the beloved Punjabi singer, Sidhu Moosewala. This gripping book, titled "Who Killed Moosewala? The Spiraling Story of Violence in Punjab," published in June this year, will soon be transformed into either a captivating movie or a series, according to a recent press release.
The book takes readers on a chilling journey into the world of crime, fame, and tragedy that surrounded Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better known as Sidhu Moosewala. It delves into the ominous impact of drugs and the surge of violence fueled by the increasing dominance of gangsters in Punjab.
Jupinderjit Singh, the author, expressed his excitement about the project and mentioned that the book had attracted considerable interest from various production houses following its release. He was particularly impressed with the work that Matchbox Shots has been producing and is thrilled that they have acquired the rights to further develop the book.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, tragically lost his life at the age of 28 in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29, 2022. He had a devoted fan following in India and around the world, with hit songs like "So High," "Same Beef," "The Last Ride," "Just Listen," and "295."
The upcoming project, yet to be titled, will be led by Dikssha Jyote Routray, a key figure at Matchbox Shots, promising an enthralling exploration of crime, fame, and music in Punjab.
