Rajinikanth 72nd birthday special: Megastar Rajinikanth turned 72 years old on December 12. To celebrate the special day of the superstar, several fans shared slew of pictures and videos of the actor's journey in the film to date.
Rajinikanth, often known as "Thalaiva" is also revered as a deity in the southern part of India. After working as a bus conductor in Bengaluru for ten years, Rajinikanth, aka Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, became a well-known superstar.
So let's look back at some of the veteran actor's best roles from his best movies throughout the years.
Baashha (1995)
Rajinikanth plays an auto-driver who is always trying to get away from his violent background in the Suresh Krissna-directed film Baashha. However, he is eventually compelled to go back to his mafia roots in order to defend his sister. Nagma and Raghuvaran are the movie's stars.
Padayappa (1999)
The movie Padayappa, written and directed by KS Ravikumar, tells the tale of engineer Padayappa (Rajinikanth), who initially struggles with his father's passing but eventually manages to have a prosperous life up until his enemy hatches a scheme to sabotage his joy. Sivaji Ganesan, Ramya Krishnan, and Soundarya also play significant roles in the movie in addition to Rajinikanth.

Baba (2002)
Rajinikanth has a special connection to the 2002 Tamil film "Baba," for which he also wrote the story and the screenplay. However, the movie did not perform well at the box office because critics gave it mediocre reviews. To appease his admirers, Rajinikanth has chosen to remaster "Baba" and re-release it in theatres.
Sivaji The Boss (2007)
One of the most successful movies was "Sivaji," Rajinikanth's first collaboration with filmmaker Shankar. For the occasion of Rajinikanth's 63rd birthday, the 2012 remake of the 2007 Tamil film was released in 3D. The picture continued to bring in money at the box office as fans enjoyed the reproduced version once more in theatres.
Kabali (2016)
One of the most well-liked films starring Rajinikanth is the gangster drama Kabali, directed by Pa Ranjith. Kabali is a rebel who spoke out against the discrimination Tamil laborers in Malaysia endured. After being imprisoned, he wants vengeance after being let out.
