Independence Day is just ahead us and we, the Indian's can't keep calm but await for the D-day to arrive so that we can exclaim in joy on the country's most patriotic occasion. This year the nation will be celebrating it's 77th years of proud Independence. The history of the country we live in, dates back to infinite struggle for peace and prosperity. In-fact the freedom we have today was not from the start, our ancestors have seen the darkest times of the nation. We are a lucky generation indeed! People have sacrificed breath and life for the day we call peace today. After years of fight, blood, sweat and tears, the country has got it's amended freedom on 15 August, 1947. Since then we are continuously celebrating the day to remember the sacrifices, struggle and the achievement we conceived at last!
With the greatest celebration of the country just ahead us, I have brought you 5 great things you can do to celebrate the auspicious occasion this year.

Hoist the flag: There's no other way to feel proud than taking over the day by hoisting a flag. Our tri-color flag is the sweetest pride that reminds us of our horrifying past. On the celebratory event, you can shoulder onto hoisting a flag with your friends and family and devote respect for the struggles it went through before coming into existence.
Time with family: Independence is all about togetherness and a close bond along with an innate freedom. There was a time when everything was unstable and brought into stability only by unity to de-throne the colonial era. When togetherness comes in mind, family should be the foremost priority because it is bond that never breaks, no matter what! It is a bond that will fight for you and with you to keep your life intact and fruitful.
Patriotic movies: The Indian entertainment industry is a full with bunch of it's mesmerizing creation which includes movies that are made on patriotism too. Yes, there are numerous movies made on struggle, freedom fighters, and real life events through which our mother country had to go through. So you can choose to celebrate by doing movie marathon on 15th August, 'Binge watch'! a much better word to describe for the gen-z's.
Social Events: On the occasion on Independence day, every nook and corner celebrates and organizes numerous events to mark the day. You can also free yourself by engaging yourself in various competition and events. This events makes you more social and gives you your own opportunity to share your views, look and perception on your prideful country.
Read Books: If not the rest four, you can also be a more wiser version of yourself. Read books in this matter! Yes, there are many freedom classics written by the biggest writers and renown personalities. You can easily find books from the 60's and 70's which will give you a broader view of the events that took place in the past. The books gives you an opportunity to know the things from the beholders themselves who has witnessed the catastrophe.
