Lata Mangeshkar's death anniversary: The great Indian singer and songwriter Lata Mangeshkar passed away a year ago on February 6, and today is the first anniversary of her passing. She passed away at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on February 6 of last year at the age of 92.

She was one of the biggest musical idols in the nation when she was born on September 28, 1929. She was given titles like "Queen of Melody," "Voice of the Millennium," and "Nightingale of India" in honor of her contributions to the Indian music industry.
Lata Mangeshkar Song
At the age of five, Mangeshkar began vocal training. In 1942, she started her singing career. Over a seven-decade period, she is credited with singing 25,000 songs in as many as 36 different Indian languages, including Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, and Hindi.

Jo vaada kia wo nibhaana padega
It is a well-known song and a cherished duet with Mohd. Rafi. The lovely voices of Lata Mangeshkar and seasoned performer Mohd Rafi were used in this song from the 1963 film "Taj Mahal." The two sang dozens of songs together over the ensuing years, becoming a hugely popular duet.
Pyaar Hua Ikrar Hua
This amazing and incredibly popular song appears in the 1955 Raj Kapoor classic "Shree 420" as "Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua." The wonderful singer Manna Dey and Lata Mangeshkar recorded the duet.

In honour of the Indian army that fought China in the war of 1962, poet Pradeep wrote it, and composer C. Ramachandra set it to music.
On Republic Day in 1963, President S. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru were in the audience for Lata's performance at the National Stadium in New Delhi, which brought the crowd to tears.
