'Laal Singh Chaddha' star Aamir Khan says theaters are suffering due to OTT
'Laal Singh Chaddha' OTT Platform News: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is one of the most anticipated movies of 2022 and it is being released at a time when most films are being released on OTT platforms within 2-4 weeks of theatrical release.
Notably, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' won’t be available on OTT platforms for at least six months post its theatrical release.

In the meanwhile, Aamir Khan said that he prefers his films to have a substantial amount of time in theatres before an getting released on OTT.
'Laal Singh Chaddha' is set for its theatrical release on August 11 and the film will release on OTT after six months. This is probably the longest delay for an Indian film's OTT release after the Covid-19 pandemic.

He further said the curiosity of theaters has been reduced as films get released on OTT right after their theatrical release. "I have always tried to keep a 6-month gap for my films” he added.
It is pertinent to mention that several big films have got on OTT release within a month of their theatrical release. These include Akshay Kumar’s 'Samrat Prithviraj' and Kartik Aaryan’s 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'.
