Karan Johar 'quits' Twitter to 'make space for more positive energies'
Karan Johar news: Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar, on Monday, announced that he has decided to quit Twitter in an order to "make space for more positive energies."
Taking to the micro-blogging site, Karan Johar wrote, "Making space for more positive energies only and this is step one towards that. Goodbye Twitter!"

The 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' director often gets trolled for his statements in his chat show 'Koffee with Karan'. Soon after Karan Johar announced the news of quitting Twitter, fans seemed to have been concerned.
"Negativity everywhere. Don't leave Twitter," a fan wrote while another fan commented, "You are a gem Karan, please don't leave."

"Don't do that. What about true fans?" wrote another. Earlier, Bollywood actors Sonakshi Sinha, Aayush Sharma, Zaheer Iqbal, Saqib Saleem, and director Shashank Khaitan left Twitter citing a 'toxic' environment on the social media platforms.
Sonakshi Sinha had stated that "The first step to protecting your sanity is to stay away from negativity. And no where more of that than twitter these days!"

It may be recalled that director Karan Johar faced a lot of backlash on social media due to nepotism after Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
On the work front, Karan Johar will be making his directorial comeback with the romantic comedy film 'Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' which features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles.
