Kapil Sharma announce his next film with Nandita Das; Kapil to play a food-delivery man

Kapil Sharma is ready to return to the movie industry with writer-director-producer Nandita Das' film, after captivating audiences with flicks such as 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' and 'Firangi.'

The comedian will be seen in a never seen before role as a food delivery rider as confirmed by Kapil himself.

Shahana Goswami, who portrays Kapil's wife in the film, will join him on set. Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives are collaborating on the film's production. The movie is set in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and will begin filming later this month.

Nandita said in a statement that she noticed how Kapil will portray the "ordinary man" even if he wasn't one anymore and that this trait of the actor drew Das in.

Kapil Sharma, who broadcasts his weekly television show on Sony TV, has previously dabbled in acting. He made his acting debut in Abbas Mustan's 2015 film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, followed by a role in Firangi in 2017. Kapil's return to the silver screen is marked by the Nandita Das film, which is produced by Applause Entertainment.

Nandita Das has a long and successful career. She has helmed films such as Manto and Firaaq, as well as starring in critically praised films such as Fire and Earth.
