Indian family in US spends hefty amount to build Amitabh Bachchan's life-size statue

Amitabh Bachchan life-size statue: Millions of people in India and around the world admire Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. Some of the megastar's fans occasionally engage in bizarre ways to express their love for him.

Recently,  an admirer of Big B from New Jersey has built a life-size monument of the actor outside of their residence.

Yes, you read that right. An Indian couple in the US is making headlines for creating Amitabh Bachach's statue in their house. Internet security engineer Gopi Sheth and his wife Rinku installed a life-sized statue of megastar Amitabh Bachchan at their residence which astonished everyone.

The statue of the actor was solemnly inaugurated by local leader Albert Jasani in front of the Edison home of Rinku and Gopi Sheth, where about 600 people had gathered.

Sheth also shared images of the statue with his family standing on either side of it. According to reports, Sheth paid $75,000 (Rs 60 Lakh) to have the statue designed in Rajasthan.

Sheth, an engineer in internet security, immigrated to the US from Gujarat in the 1990s. He resides in Edison, which has a sizable Indian American community and a vibrant one-street market with only Indian eateries and clothing shops.

Sheth is a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan and claims that the actor is like God to him.
