75th Independence Day: India is celebrating 75 glorious years after its declaration of independence with 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. It had been several months since the festivities for the happy occasion started. On August 15, a number of Bollywood and Pollywood celebrities sent Independence Day greetings to their fellow countrymen.

In the meantime, to commemorate 75 years of independence, actor Akshay Kumar joined Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis at a motorcycle rally. In Mumbai's Marine Drive, Kumar and Phadnavis led the start of a 10 km race and automobile and bike rally.
