“I couldn’t ask for any better subject than this one”: Gavie Chahal On Next Punjabi Film ‘Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai’
Well-known director Kalyani Singh recently started shooting for her next Punjabi film ‘Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai’. The film starring Gavie Chahal, Drishti Grewal, Yamini Malhotra, Mukesh Rishi , Vindu Dara Singh among others, went on floor on October 16.

Meanwhile, Gavie Chahal told us that the main reason behind not working in Punjabi films for the last few years is that he was working in Bollywood and was awaiting good scripts. However, sometimes things didn’t work. So, finally he found this script very interesting and so he went on with this project.
Previously, “Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai” made a huge success and won National award. Now, the remake of this 1996 cult film is getting a remake.
Gavie said, “I was looking for a very appropriate and strong script for my come back and I have found the story very promising. As actors, we always think of having such project in our kitty which can give back to society and I cannot ask for any better subject than this one. As on personal grounds I am a religious person so I am sure I will do proper justification to my character in the film. The entire team is very excited about the project.”
Besides, the film is to be written and directed by Kalyani Singh, with the music by Onkar Minhas.
