Many iconic roles of history have been played on silver screen and with no doubt the actors have done commendable job performing them. Another such iconic project is on the way which is the adaptation of The Ramayan. Madhu Mantena’s is the one who recently took over the shares and is all set to work on his dream project solo to make it an unforgettable auspicious project .

The film’s cast is being finalized but according to sources Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are the front runners for the iconic roles of Ram and Sita. Sridevi’s last film  Mom’s director Ravi Udyawar is the one who will be directing this project to make it epic in every possible way. The budget of the film is expected to be 300crores which will be a 3D project.

Deepika Hrithik

A member from the project revealed “These are sensitive times. And the last thing the Ramayana needs is an underwhelming treatment or a revisionist screenplay. Mantena has deployed several researchers to project absolute accuracy and preserve complete sanctity in his film version of the venerated epic.”

Mantena is very keen for the project and every little detail, to make it an extraordinary project and leave no spectrum of the story uncovered. As Mantena does not want any part of the Holy Scripture to be left, he is expected to make it into two full length feature film.

Whatsoever it may be, it’s a complete delight for the fans to witness an extremely significant Holy Scripture on the silver screen, with Hrithik and Deepika possibly coming together for the very first time.
