Middle Eastern Countries Imposes Ban on 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' Due to Controversial Trans Representation; Full Details Inside

The news had been flocking around from the Middle Eastern countries over the new Spider-Man animated movie, 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse.' The reports say numerous middle eastern countries including Saudi Arabia has banned the movie. While the reason for the ban is still unclear but people predicts the trans representation in the movie has been one core factor for the cause. 

Saudi Cinema's response 

According to the sources, the movie has failed to pass the censorship requirements in the respective zone. The censorship board has not revealed the specific reason to the masses but people are predicting the inclusion of a pro-trans flag into a movie seen might be a possibility. But however according to Saudi Cinema, "The highly anticipated movie will not be release in some parts of the gulf region as it conflicts the content controls in force."

Meanwhile people are very eager to know more and dig in deeper. Many fans speculate that the character named 'Gwen' is a transgender who confronts a dilemma regarding her gender identity during her childhood, added by a scene where a pro-trans flag is hanged in her room which quoted 'protect trans kid.'

About 'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse'

Based on Marvel comics, 'Spider Verse' and 'Across the Spider Verse' is a part of Miles Morals trilogy, reported by Lord and Miller in a recent interview, "which will be ended with - Beyond The Spider Verse" they added.
