Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Prakash Utsav 2019: Celebs Pay Tribute To Sixth Sikh Guru

Sikhs around the world are celebrating birth anniversary or Prakash Utsav of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji on June 18. It is said that, Guru Hargobind Ji was only 11- year-old when his father, Guru Arjan Dev Ji appointed him as the sixth Sikh Guru in 1606.

He is also known as 'Miri Piri De Maalik' among the devotees as he carried two swords of Miri and Piri. In fact, he had the longest tenure as Guru, lasting 37 years, 9 months and 3 days.

Besides, Guru Hargobind Ji is credited with establishing the Akal Takht opposite Sri Harmandir Sahib in 1608, which is now one of five Takhts (Seats of Power) of the Sikhs.

On his Prakash Utsav, many celebs from the Punjabi industry took to their official social media handles to pay their respects to the sixth Sikh guru.
