Let's know Who was PK Rosy?
PK Rosy was born on February 10, 1903, in Thiruvananthapuram now Trivandrum. From the beginning, Miss Rosy had an ardent urge towards acting. She often went to a school of performing arts to study a form of Tamil Folk theatre called Kakkirasi Nattakam.
The future actress surely took birth in an era where cinema was barely acceptable, and to change that very fact, Rosy took the daring initiative. Especially, society was typically against women in cinema and Miss Rosy could do injustice by doing what society wanted period.

The passionate dreamer stepped into the world of cinema by leading in JC Daniel’s movie ‘Vigathukumaran’ in the year of 1928. The movie was India’s first social drama feature film. A silent film led by Rosy (Sarojam) and the Director/Producer himself (Jayachandran) gave a great start to a new beginning.
The actress barely received any recognition in her lifetime but the world shall forever stay obliged to her for paving a route for future generations.
