Divya Dutta's Latest Interview Is Breaking All The Stereotypes About Her Personality
Divya Dutta did her Pollywood debut in 1999 with a romantic drama movie "Shaheed-E-Mohabbat Boota Singh opposite the legendary Gurdas Maan. This was the real-life story of a Sikh Boota Singh. After this movie, she was unstoppable. She continued doing the Punjabi appearances and did her Bollywood debut with "Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna" in 1994. She appeared in many Bollywood movies as a supporting actress and won many awards.
Her versatility could not be described in words. She has recently won a National Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film "Irada". When she got the award, she was asked about how is she feeling after getting this award? To which she said, "This was unexpected and therefore sweeter. People who have been calling are happier than me, which makes me feel so good."

Divya Dutta spoke about her career in Bollywood, "There was a time when people called me that. However, gradually things have changed. Workwise, the last year has been fabulous. I have got bigger films and better roles, even the so-called lead roles in the films. More than that people also call me a well-respected actor, as there has always been a lot of respect for me and my work. I don't know where it comes from but it matters. I have always followed my heart and made choices that worked for me. I was never the stereotypical heroine but I have gone past that and now I am romancing heroes. I am now doing the role that I should have done probably at the beginning of my career."
Her latest released movie is "Blackmail". She has done a good role in the movie. Talking about her upcoming projects she said, "The year started well off. Blackmail was well-received and then the National Award announcement came through and now I am looking forward to my first visit to Cannes Film Festival. As for my films, by September, I should have eight releases."
