During a recent interview, the acclaimed producer revealed about his upcoming movie 'No Entry' which will be starring Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and diljit Dosanjh.
Here's why Priyanka Chopra declined Sardarni
During a recent interview with a renown media forum, Boney Kapoor talked about his professional front. While speaking off his upcoming comedy drama 'No Entry', he was seen heaping praises for the No Entry star Diljit Dosanjh. While speaking about the same, he reminisced a past moment when he planned projecting a movie featuring the Punjabi star and global icon Priyanka Chopra. He said, "Diljit has laways been a telented actor. In-fact, some time ago, I had a film project in mind with him and Priyaka Chopra titled Sardarani. However at that time, Priyanka recieved an opportunity to work in Quantico in Hollywood. So, she requested us to wait."
Meanwhile, it is the season 2 of the famous crime investigation series that she has been folding her sleeves for, Kapoor revealed. Proceeding further he said, "She was offered the second season, and she recieved great acclaim there, leading to more offers. She decided to build her career in Hollywood and we had to let go of that film. .
Boney Kapoor talks about Diljit Dosnajh
Moving on with the conversation aout 'Sardarni', he said that he has earlier discussed about the film with Diljit who was nearly on board for the film with PeeCee. While basking about the Punjabi satr's versatility, he continued, "I've seen his work in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. He is a phenomenal actor, has great sense of comedy and timing, and is a talented singer. It's always refreshing to have a mix of fresh talent in a film."
More about No Entry
Earlier a crisp news had been surfaced regarding No Entry 2. According to the reports, Boney Kapoor is teaming up with Zee Studios for bringing the joyous film into life. A source close to the film's production said, "Anees Bazmee is set to direct and write No Entry 2, and we've signed Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh as the leads. They're thrilled about the script and have given it their approval." Meanwhile, the film is all set to commence it's beginning from December, 2024 that will star Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.
