Alia Bhatt Draws Parallel Between Wedding Scene in RARKPK and Her Real-Life Marriage with Ranbir Kapoor, Find Out How!

As 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is running at a pace of wonders in the theatres globally, the film leads are oozing in success. Recently, Alia Bhatt has revealed the parallels between the scene of her marriage inside 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' to her real life marriage with muse Ranbir Kapoor. During a success party of the movie recently, Alia made the revelations including Karan Johar remembering the time of shooting of the film.

Reel VS Real marriage

Talking about Alia, the actress tied her wedding knot in April, 2022. Relating the reel moment from the film, Ranveer Singh aka Rocky can be seen kneeling down during the ceremony. While remembering her real marriage, she found the relativity with Ranbir Kapoor too. During the moment of their garland ceremony, often called the 'Varmaala' in India, Mr. Kapoor was lifted up to which even Alia started looking for someone who could lift her up. Ranbir while looking at the situation, bowed down and went on his knees so that the Gangubai actress can ease up to put the garland around his neck.

"This was really an unforgettable moment. In the scene where Ranveer goes down and bows his head so that I can put the varmaala, that actually happened in my real marriage. When Ranbir was lifted up during the varmaala ceremony, I was looking around as no one was picking me up and then Ranbir went down his head and bowed his head so that I can put the varmaala on him. So, everything happens very close to each other." Alia quoted while remembering her and Ranbir's marriage moment

The mesmerizing Kudmayi song

While talking about her experience of shooting the musical number she quoted, "Kudmayi song was shot just four days after my marriage. But both were different as my home wedding was very simple, I was wearing a light sari and everything was so simple. I was roaming around very freely. However, in the reel wedding, I was wearing a heavy lehenga along with a heavy dupatta so I am very grateful that my real wedding was so simple as I cannot do those things twice." Logically "Alia got married twice in a week", Karan Johar stated sarcastically.
