'Brahmastra' worldwide box office collection: Just like the film, the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Brahmastra' brought a light amidst the dark time faced by Bollywood due to 'boycott trend' and 'trolls'. Whosoever said that 'Brahmastra' would turn out to be a 'sutli bomb' must be escaping now.

Be it the ancient times or the modern era, 'Brahmastra' word itself holds an important significance and undefeatable power. It seems Ayan Mukerji's directorial raised above all hatred and negative energies and turned out to be a blockbuster film.

'Brahmastra' has become fresh air for the Bollywood industry. 'Brahmastra' opening weekend's box office collection of Rs 120 crore at the Indian box office made it one of the highest ever Hindi films to be able to garner such an amount in recent times.

That’s not it. It also created waves worldwide. The film has been ruling the charts in Australia, New Zealand, and the US. According to the US box office tracker Box Office Mojo, 'Brahmastra' made a worldwide box office collection of $26.5 million ( Rs 212 crore) in its opening weekend.

Of $26.5, $4.4 million was minted from the US market alone. With this, 'Brahmastra' becomes the highest-grossing film in the world for the September 9-11 weekend.

It surpassed the horror film 'Barbarian' ($10.5 million), and the previous blockbusters like 'Bullet Train' and 'DC League of Super Pets'. With Rs 212 crore figure, the film registered the highest-ever opening weekend for a Bollywood film, defeating Sultan’s Rs 206 crore.
