Shraddha Kapoor lauds Kalki 2898 AD and calls Amitabh Bachchan a 'cinematic universe'
Year's one of the most anticipated films is finally here. Nag Ashwin's directorial, Kalki 2898 ADS is currently oozing and whacking the moviegoers all throughout the globe. Starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Prabhas, the film has in fact amassed a whopping start at the Indian box office just within two days of its release in top national chains and is expected to cross Rs. 100 crores within the first four days of its release commercially, i.e. by the end of the weekend. Just within two days of its release, the film received numerous positive acclamation both from people and critics including Bollywood dignitaries.
Recently, the Baaghi actress, Shraddha Kapoor took over her official Instagram handle on Saturday and shared her major feelings about the Nag Ashwin directorial, Kalki 2898 AD. Riveting actress, Miss Kapoor finally managed to take out time to watch the recently released multi-starrer sci-fi. In fact, Shraddha made a special media post dedicated to the dystopian sci-fi while praising Big B, Amitabh Bachchan who plays the role of undeniable Ashwathama.
After watching the magnanimous one-of-a-kind movie, Shraddha Kapoor shared her thoughts on the Nag Ashwin directorial through an Instagram post. Sharing a two-slide post on her Gram, she heaped praises on the immense prowess held by Amitabh Bachchan. A text image on the first slide, said, "Kya North, Kya South, Kya East, Kya West. Saara cinema ek taraf..." and the second slide featured Amitabh Bachchan in his Ashwathama avatar that read, "Amitabh Bachchan ek taraf" along with a fire and a salute emoji. Below is the caption, the actress quipped, "@amitabhbachchan apne aap mein hi ek cinematic universe hain" with a fire emoji.
Kalki 2898 AD is a 2024 Indian epic science-fiction dystopian film, co-written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Led by a stellar cast ensemble, it has roped off Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Dalquer Salmaan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles alongside Big B - Amitabh Bachchan. Produced by C. Aswani Dutt, the film is distributed under AA Films and it is made with a whopping budget of Rs. 600 crores. During a recent interview, actor Prabhas revealed that the Kalki 2898 AD lays the idea of reaching a global audience and not just sitting around Indian audiences, hence the cost of production was also in mass digits. Through a futuristic, dystopian perspective, its director Nag Ashwin has brought a modern form of Mahabharata-inspired storyline set in the year 2898 AD. Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD is released globally on June 27, 2024.
