Shakuntalam Box Office Collection Day 1: On April 14, Samantha Ruth Prabhu's movie 'Shakuntalam' was released in theatres. Everyone applauded the movie's breathtaking sights and Samantha's Shakuntalam avatar. The epic love story of Shakuntala, the daughter of the sage Vishwamitra and Apsara Menaka, who was in love with King Dushyant, played by Dev Mohan, is the focus of Samantha's film, which is based on the renowned Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the mythological drama directed by Gunasekhar made Rs 5 crore in total revenue on its first day. Shaakuntalam had a 32.60 percent overall Telugu state occupancy.
Shaakuntalam appears to have been produced on a big budget based on the way its trailer looks. As part of the ensemble cast, Mohan Babu, Allu Arha, Aditi Balan, Gautami, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananya Nagalla also appear.
Yashoda, Samantha's prior film, opened with around Rs 3 crore and concluded its first weekend with Rs 10 crore net. The movie was made about Rs 20 crore in India during its whole existence. Shaakunatalam's future appears brighter in comparison to that.
